Aye matey. It is running most likely.
Try deactivating it first. Just chuck it and then clean up registry with a registry cleaner. I know many would say DON'T!!.. maybe they are right but I think it's the only way that does not involve someone that actually knows what he's doing. >:-)

Go to the mcafee website and look for mcafee removal tool. That will help u to remove this software.

Try control panel -> Add/Remove program -> McAfee but in SAFE MODE

Start --> Configuration --> Software --> McAfee --> delete.
Be careful not to delete other programs !!!!
Are u sure you want to remove your virus hunter???
If so, then you better install another one as the free Ant Virus Grivas.

I wouldn't if I were you unless you have something else to protect your computer from viruses.
