TV doesn't make noise on it's own...once I plug in the red and black cables to the VCR, it buzzes all through the tape.

In other words, don't use my VCR? If I unplug them, the VCR won't work. Any other bright ideas?

Check the AV leads , yellow plug is video and if plugged into either red or white sockets ( left and right audio ) you will get buzzing noise. If your VCR is mono sound and you leave one audio lead unconnected then if you are feeding an amp from the VCR then the audio channel not in use may also buzz. Thats about all I can think of from here !.

thats sounds like a ground loop. ground the sheild of those cables to a ground source
