She says that the things I say are very big compliments. She says I am a wonderful man and I tell her she is beautiful in every way. She still contacts me. we are both recently separated from our spouses and have known and respected each other for several years. We are both quite realistic I think, and cautious about the future, in that we understand it is uncertain. We haven't made any plans to be together but surely enjoy each others company. we are long distance but are capable and educated adults. So, what do you think?

Yes soozemusic....I have been asking myself that question. That is why I worded my question to include through a lifetime because that is the main thing really.....I appreciate the answers all three of you gave me..they are encouraging words that help me feel that I have the ability to love and maybe even the ability to be happy

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained". If I were you I would definitely ride this out and see where it goes. The two of you, certainly have a lot of "great" starting points. It sounds like a big potential possibility. If you don't gamble on this, and don't let nature take its course, you will resent and wonder the rest of your life about how this might of worked out. So I think ... "get busy with it'!!!

I think it sounds like a good possibilty. However, you are both recently separated and well, you should give your wounds time to heal. You have to ask yourself if this is a true attraction and long-term possibility or just a temporary replacement for your lonliness/heartbreak.
Give it a while and take your time.
