Stick around all the common tourist spots in Paris -- the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre because these people usually hire workers who speak some English.

Also, some of the arrondisements in Paris, like the the 1st, 2nd and 5th arrondisement typically draw American tourists. Oh yeah and always keep your eyes peeled for McDonald's restaurants those are your emergency 'American' spots if you get overwhelmed with the French!

Don't go...if you already have a negative attitude towards the French you won't have a good time and will possibly ruin someone else's trip by giving others a negative outlook on Americans.

ive recently been alerted to a new form of ebonics, only you will need to disguise yourself as a middle aged, middle class babbling white woman with an overdrawn bun and a severe personalitiy disorder. once you pull that off, noone will be able to understand you, you'll be totally in the clear.
