You have to remain constant other wise they will walk all over you.. Make a schedule eat... bath..brush teeth and get ready for bed... Watch his nap time during the day and make sure it isn't too long and not past 4pm.. Also make sure he doesn't have any sugary drinks past 6 Say 'bout 6:30 you tell him 30 minutes till bath time.. then put him in the tub and put toys in there and let him play.. after his bath get him to brush his teeth ..potty... and when he is done tell him to go find his favorite books and you read them. Then give him a kiss and tell him to go to bed. Leave the room if he comes in there say it is time to go to bed pick him up and put him back in his bed.. everytime after that if he comes in there to you don't say anything to him just pick him up and put him in the bed .. eventually he will get the jist of it.. Stay on him :) Good Luck

I have a 4 year old daughter and I some times have the same problem with getting her to go to sleep.
Her bed time is 7:30.
I think what you need to do is make sure that your son is in a routine.
Like.
Give him dinner, and then give him a bath, and then let him know that it's now time to settle down and play time is over.
Put him in bed, and read him a story, and if he starts to whinge and complain try saying things to him like " but if you dont go to sleep now, you wont be up in time to go and do...." things like that so then they know that sleep is a good thing.
It works like a charm with my daughter every time.

Well, if you want any sleep, I would be putting him to bed about 8 pm. At this age, he needs about 11 or 12 hours of sleep a night, especially if he is not taking a nap.

All babies are diverse - it easily relies upon what works on your toddler and what your on a daily basis habitual is like. in the journey that your toddler has to stand up early in the morning - they might desire to circulate early to mattress, in the event that they have a snooze in the day, a later bedtime may well be greater useful. In our living house bedtime is versatile. There are days whilst my 3 one million/2 year old is going to mattress already at 6:30 - if he has had a hectic day and desires to circulate to nursery the subsequent morning. maximum days it is closer to 7 - 7:30 as his dad would not come living house till 6 and it is intense-high quality for them to have time at the same time. If we've been in the vehicle and he has had a snooze, he would not circulate to mattress earlier 9. and then there are days have been we've travellers or are out and bedtime then might desire to be 10. Being versatile works properly for us - frequently previous via mattress one evening potential early to mattress day after immediately. It particularly relies upon on whilst he looks drained. i myself locate that presently he desires greater sleep than whilst he became youthful. perhaps he learns, strikes and grows greater on the 2nd. wish you hit upon a time that works for you.
