ok its 2:30 and i cant fall asleep what can i do to help me fall asleep?

so u have insonmia. alright this is what u can do.
1. stop taking caffein brcause the effect can stand up to 20 hours
2. eat high carbohidrate food during night because it can increase serotonin level that will help u lessen ur worry and sleep better.
3. exercise before u sleep or in evening
4. wake up early.
5. read books.
6. drink a glass of milk before u sleep.
7. buy herbal sleep and valerian from pharmaacy
8. do not eat too much before sleep.
9. dont drink tea too.
10. buy sleeping pill( not advisable)
11. hear music

Read a book you find extremly boring i garnatee you'll be asleep before you've read 12 pages.

Drink some warm milk with lots of honey or sugar.

Turn off the computer and the lighs then close your eyes and try to think of somewhere relaxing or something that relaxes you.

Dang! now I'm falling asleep.

1st, turn off the computer.
2nd, make sure you sleep in the place which is used one and I mean only for sleep.
3rd, don't think that you must sleep and try to put yourself to bed. Read, draw, or whatever there is that it makes you tired. For me it is reading a complex science book like Organic Chemistry. LOl.
If you wake up at night, go to the other room and sit quitly for some time and come back again to sleep.

Have had many bouts with insomnia before, any of the following have worked for me in the past:

Exersice during the day to make your body tired. Your body releases endorphins that help you be ready for rest.

5 drops of liquid melationin in a warm glass of milk or juice right before bed. (buy at any health food store)

Kava Kava powder mixed in with your favorite juice. (health food store)

Sleepytime tea bags. One or two cups before bed. (any grocery store)

Valerian root extract tea... put 10 bags in one pot and let it simmer for a while. Drink 1-2 cups... You will be out in no time. Valerian root is what they derived the chemical formulation that later was synthesized in to Valium by Leo Sternbach, Valiums inventor... he just died recently.

Ambien, Klonopin, Valum, Seconol, Seroquel, etc...

Couple of beers or shots of whiskey.

Here is the best one though, drug free and easy to learn:

Count very slowly 1............2...........3........4..........5..........and take a deep breath between each count, breathing in through your nose and out through pursed lips. Each exhale should at least be 3-5 seconds. While exhaling slowly, imagine one part of you body relaxing, I start with the toes/feet/legs and move up from there. Imagine each part of your body melting away into jello as you exhale slowly with each new breath. This really works for me, it causes you to concentrate on something very specific, your breathing. The concentration focuses your mind and stops the random thoughts that keep you awake from racing through your head. Count up as high as you have to, 40-50-60 even 100 or more. Just focus on your body relaxing. Before you know it your body will drift off to sleep and forget everything else.

Above paragraph also works great for inducing lucid dreams. Might as well have fun while you sleep right.

You have stressed out. So do (some) exercise & cool down your muscles. Have a good diet & most importantly don't take tension yaaar! And play too & entertain yourself a bit.

drink some hot chocolate an d put on a nice cd like alannis morisette, if that doesn't work...try reading a book or watch a movie you've seen a 100 times..... it works!!
