I'm 15 and have gained a lot of weight this year - 10 kgs, to be exact. I need to lose the 10 kgs. My family is behind me all the way. However, I seem to overeat on EVERY occasion. I thought I had it under control once, but it all came back. I eat healthy stuff, like a lot of wholewheat bread, rice, noodles, etc. Also, if I don't overeat that day, I feel weird. I'm losing control and I dont feel good about anything, not even my studies. I can barely fit into my school uniform now. I want to do such a lot of things and have a really good figure, but everytime I overeat or look into the mirror, I feel so sad that I just wanna run away from everything.
1 more question: How can I get flatter abs, thighs and bum?
Thanks..

There may be a psychological reason for you over eating. Are you nervous, overly concerned about your appearance, do you have anxiety issues? These are issues that only you can answer. Many people find solace in food when they are dealing with anxiety. At 15 years old, I imagine your life would be challenging.

Also, that 10kgs you gained could be the result of maturing, as your body is still growing. At 15, I remember being able to chow down some serious amounts of food.

The best way to manage your diet, I think, is to record everything you eat. Use a site such as http://www.fitday.com to monitor your calories and try to stay within the daily allotment (there are tools on the site to help you do this). Also consider doing some sort of fun exercise once a day to keep your metabolism revved up and your endorphins flowing. Try running, walking, dancing, whatever tickles your fancy. This will help take the edge off some of the teenage angst.

Ultimately, you'll get the flatter abs, thighs and bums when your diet is in order and your fitness level increases. There's no short cuts or magic pills to get around that. It takes work and dedication.

Good luck.

Whole wheat is better than refined wheat but still fattening. See below site for tips on foods that are thinning instead of fattening.
