I don't like country crap either, but my Dad and I and my husband and his mom danced to Through The Years by Kenny Rogers. It's not too sickening, no one stole his dog or truck. The four of us danced at the same time, my husband and I weren't comfortable dancing with our parents alone.
I found an article at theknot.com about this, they had some good suggestions. I'm liking the Beatles tunes.

I THINK THAT THE TITLE OF THE SONG IS "MOMMA I LOVE YOU "BUT I KNOW THAT BOYZ TO MEN MADE IT IT IS A REALLY PRETTY SONG TO THE MOTHER TELLING HER HOW MUCH HER CHILD LOVES HER AND APPRECIATES ALL THAT SHE HAS DONE FOR THEM IN THEIR LIFE.
