Marriage for anyone that young rarely works. Even people much older than that find themselves facing divorce. I think young people should focus more on how to become self sufficient, instead of getting married right out of high school. Marriage can be beautiful but as in any relationship, it can be really hard, and factor into it, having children. Give some thought as to how expensive it is to take care of children and at that age, finding a decent job is also difficult. Basically we all make mistakes, but some leave lifelong scars.

For boys, under 11, for girls, less than 8. This way the parents never worry, for awhile, of becoming grandparents before their time. Kidding of course. Its entirely up to the couple involved. Everyone matures at a different time in their life. I was approximately 19, my twin brother tells me he was almost 23. Different strokes for different folks. But how old is one when he/she has security? Well, if you don't know, I'll tell you - the answer is "NEVER!" So if you wait for that reason, its fruitless. Now having a job for lets say a complete years in an area you like, and make a fair living, that's the age for marriage and to start a family.

Pick the best answer and then times it by 2......I almost did at 18.... (with no college,no money, and just lust for life). But I waited till' 36 (college degree, good job, lots of $) and I can tell you without a doubt it was the best decission I've ever made. Go and have some fun for the next 10-15 years...You will never regret it!!

People that get married when they're younger have a better chance of getting a divorce when they're older. Your realtionship with someone when you're 18 is much different than when you're 22 or 23.

At least 21 - 25, and been together at least 3yrs before even thinking of asking..... then at least another 1.5 - 2yrs before signing the bits of paper.
In other words...... don't rush it, take your time to get to know each others limits (and any habits they have) so you both know what you're letting yourselves in for + by taking that long, if one of you were going to screw things up you or they would have done so by then.
