I was baptized under the christian religion against my own beliefs, is there a way to
un-baptize someone? I didn't ask for this to be done to me - I was only an infant!

If you don't believe in Christianity, then you should have no problem not believing in the baptism, right? I mean if that religion holds no truth for you, then you should be immune to their rituals and blessings I would think.

The only reason to be unbaptized would be if you think that having undergone that cermony in some way modified who you are - and clearly it didn't since you do not even hold with the beliefs of the religion.

So you are free! If it makes you feel any better, I am a minister and I unbaptize you in the name of the Universe. Amen.

If you were only an infant, you had not reached the age of accountability. The baptismal was an outward sign that your parents were washing away the sins of your father that you were born with.

To the person who said you cannot get re-baptized, I believe that you can if you choose to. It is just an outward sign that you are washing away your sins before God.

I wish I knew. I was baptized about five times as a kid and when I finally accepted the fact I am an atheist, I wondered how I could reclaim my soul. (I know, it was a rhetorical question, not to be taken literally)

Once saved, always saved under Baptist doctrine, so I can't even be excommunicated.

I suppose I'll have to call myself an Atheist Christian and be like those people who claim to be Atheist Jews.

haha, i agree. but think about this. the man who did so has no actual divinity.

he is a silly old man in robes, preaching from a hot off the press copy of a 2000 year old book. a BOOK.

maybe hes right, maybe he is wrong. but it is not important.

if you do not believe it, then poof! your un-baptized. there is no ceremony for this, if it makes you feel any better, i will piss in some water, and splash it on your head, (dont know why i have to urinate in it first, just to make sure its really unholly water)

You were never baptized so you do not have a problem regarding being unbaptized. Baptism means immersion and only persons saved are to be baptized.

There is no undo button. It happened. I believe baptism is highly meaningful, but only if you go into it willingly.

Your baptism didn't do you any good (or I suppose to your way of thinking, anything bad) because it was without your will.

Try to forgive your parents.

I hope one day you'll seek to be baptized for the right reasons.

if you don't believe in it then it has no power over you. to you it should just be a worthless cerimony anyway, so don't sweat it.
no big deal.

ps. to the ideot that said you will be unbaptized if you "sin" you know that person has "sinned" since they were baptised, so they're in trouble, because someon else said you cannot be re-baptized.
Further, you don't HAVE to go to ANYONE's version of heaven if it's against your beliefs, AND hell does NOT exist, even if god does (and i'm pretty sure SOME form of god exists). any god great enough to create all possibility (and he did, if he created this one (earth)) would NOT be a freaking religion nazi. don't listen to those people with their heads up their a$$es.
good luck

Well, if it was against your beliefs, it didn't mean anything anyway. So I wouldn't worry about being un-baptized if I were you.

There are three steps:

1. Buy some ruby slippers.
2. Put them on.
3. Tap your heels together three times while repeating the phrase "There's no place like hell."

Seriously though, baptism is like the modern marriage ceremony. In most cases, it means absolutely nothing.
