I wrote my daughter a check for 50. Somehow she washed off the amount and wrote it for 1,000. How is this possible? I have never heard of anyone being able to do this. Now I am scared to sned a check in the mail. What kind of chemicals erase ink?

IF you read the details you would have realized that I am afraid to put my checks to pay bills in the mail now. Yes I am concerned that my daughter did this, but I am also afraid that if she did this then someone else could steal a check from a mail box and do the same thing to those checks. Please read all the details before simply calling my daughter
a low life "rat"!!!!

Here are some more details: I am almost 100% sure my daughter is addicted to crack. I am willing to offer her treatment and waive the police becoming involved if she agrees to treatment. However since she is 19 I am aware she can sign AMA and check herself out. So one of the stipulations is going to be that she stay the full term of the treatment program. If she does not agree to treatment or if she agrees to go and tries to leave early I will press charges and she can sober up in jail.

One thing I would do I would visit with the police and get them a good scare for her going to jail.

This type of crime was big in the 90s and I guess still now. One form is to wash the check in nail polish remover containing acetone/coolant/a solution of cleaning solvent and water.
You can get checks that actually become damaged when someone tries to wash them. Or hold fast to the ink so that the ink can not be washed off. Go to your bank or where ever you get your check from and request these special checks. I'm actually surprised that this happen to you .I thought most checks actually have these safety devices embedded.
However if you use the cute customized checks that aren't from your bank, I could see why the safety blocks weren't present since those types of checks usually don't have them.

there is not any choose, everywhere which will provide visitation rights to a determine who's on drugs of any variety. So except you could coach, and you like unquestionably evidence, no longer purely rumour. in case you could coach that. Then he won't be granted unsupervised weekend visitations. If he cleans up his act, super. yet while he purely straightens out for courtroom purposes, and wins. Your going to have alot of artwork on your palms. Your going to could desire to extraordinarily a lot secret agent on him, look into, hire somebody,etc.. And get the coach you could desire to end those visits, to your newborn's secure practices. yet another component there is not any way, he's getting visitation, without an order to pay newborn help. he's going to could desire to pay something, that the choose will comes to a decision he can take care of to pay for. His previous movements, or could desire to I say non-movements, i'm particular are going to be addressed additionally. have faith me, this is going to be a conflict for him, that from what you defined, he maximum possibly will lose interior the long-term. replace is a actual complicated component for anybody to do. maximum folk do no longer.

Why aren't you more more worried about what a low-life rat thief your daughter is ?
Yeah, I did read the details and got it that you were talking to me. I still wonder why you don't ask your daughter how she accomplished this theft, and why are you asking strangers on the internet instead of your kid who commited the crime? (which would put her in serious jail if she was older).

Tactful daughter. 100% anhydrous (waterless) isopropyl alcohol would probably do the trick. That or hairspray. The success rate of either of those is most likely low. So she must know her stuff.
