Do volunteer work at the political campaign of your favorite candidate, or join a health club. Join a bowling club. Do volunteer work at the zoo, or museum. Get involved in Toastmasters.

Go out and meet people.
Obviously you won't meet them if you are in your home.
And you may meet some people online, but there's no way you can tell if they are your age, for all you know.
So go out, be friendly and you'll soon be making great friends. It is up to you to take it from there.

The grocery store, in line at the bank, jogging, at the gym and duh, the obvious...the beach, it IS California!
