To Tracy: it is bad luck to say stuff like that to people, what if that happened to you?

I am not being smart, it is just the truth.

I am not talking about little kids, I am mostly talking about teenagers who act immature and form big groups in places and get in the way and act really loud and immature in a public place

I just said I wasn't talking about kids...I was referring to unruly teenagers.

And get real...most parents don't control their teenagers...can't you tell by the way they dress and act.

yes I was a teenager once, and I thought I was hot stuff..(and I was) but I was wrong for acting the way I did all of those times.

This is a true situation if you want to believe it or not.

Well, I understand you, But c'mon I love how the school buses aren't slowing me down as much in the morning! And yes there are some really stupid a$$ kids out there. I remember being one of those brats messing with people everywhere we went, it's a lack of discipline really. But I love having my stepdaughter (age12) to visit each summer when school lets out, she's 1400 miles from me the rest of the year...and well, she makes me smile even when she is being rotten.

LOL, they're going public sooner or later. Being 18 ne'er means the childish traits are gone, necessarily. Why, the whole frat house scene doesn't exactly encourage maturity, either. I think America really needs to dig deep on these social issues. They're annoying, but we can't force 'em to stay in school forever (-;

Do your best to maintain your sanity for a couple of weeks. In about that amount of time, they will be bored and nowhere to be seen until they crawl out of bed sometime between 2-4 pm and start dribbling out their doors about 6 pm. By then you will be home and getting ready for bed. Then you will never know they even exist.

Yes - I know - it's obnoxious.

However... the fault is with the adults. If adults are correctly doing their job of raising kids to be responsible individuals, they won't behave so badly.

I've found that the best approach to dealing with obnoxious teenagers is to talk to them, smile, ask them what's the occasion for all the jollility, say something like "sounds great!" and then ask them to please keep it down. They feel that you have some connection to them, and are more likely not to feel missunderstood or attacked.

i am going to venture to guess that you are without a child. i have three wonderful children. i become almost as excited as they are when school is let out for the summer. the extra time that we get to spend together and all the wonderful things that we get to do only during the summer. maybe you should remember that you were once a kid and a kid that once loved your summer break from school.

Actually it's never bothered me so long as the kids are acting in a mature fashion, and the ones around where I live do exactly that.

It can be just a little bit annoying especially if you are driving and are in a hurry...but otherwise if you are not - why don't you too join in the fun and let the child in you out for a while.

Take care
