I am living in Okinawa Japan (on an air force base) and I am getting ready to go back to the states to visit family. Why I'm there I planed on getting my hair straghtened. But I was watching "The View" the other day and they had some hair guy on there who said Japanese people had the best hair straghtining system. Does anyone know more about that? Maybe some places in Okinawa Japan to get it done at, how much more does it cost then in the states. Has anyone had it done and how long does it stay straght for?

I was on a Air Force base in Misawa Japan for nearly 2 years (I was in the Navy). I loved it and loved getting the japanese "cat" that some good eat'n. All japanese people have straight hair. So if they make it, it would be for export and you will never find it there. Have some one back home mail you what you need. enjoy the stay there get out into the country side. The people are great and fun to party with.

It seems to me the best thing to do would be to get out there and find a stylist in Japan...ask around there. I am sure there are translators if language is a problem. The only other suggestion I have...Google It.

yes, i do know it. it can get it straight. it may take hours but its nice. the only thing is whenthe regrowth starts coming out....you gonna need some touch ups. it's expensive..$400/$600 the first time. touch ups that they require every two to three weeks at $60.00 but thats American dollars. i have black hair and i use the Ionic ceramic straightener...that goes to 400 degrees. it is sick girl...striaight with no grease or hair products...it so soft....shinny. and check this ,it's even straight the next day....
