I don't know why I keep getting neck aches. Occasionally, it hurts, and feels like it needs to be re-aligned. When I try to massage it so it will "crack" it just hurts more, so I don't do that anymore. The pain just persists, and every chiropracter I've tried cannot make it feel better. The pain happens every couple days, and I have to take an IBproufen or two to make it feel better for the day.

Any ideas on what might be the issue?

Try putting ice on it when the pain starts in. Also you can use heat if it feels better. It could be a number of things going on in your neck. I too have neck pain, but I had an MRI done a few yrs ago. I have a protruding dic. I do go to the Chriropractic montly and get adjusted. I get so many headaches if I don't also the pain in the neck cause me severe shoulder pain alot of the times. I just use ice/heat and take alieve and I am ok for a couple days. I also have degenerated disc disease, which don't help. So, I would say keep going to the Chriropractor and sometimes getting your shoulders and neck massaged by a professional will eventually elimate the discomfort. Hope you feel better ..;) good luck

You sure you never had whiplash? Does it feel hot? If it does, put ice on it. If it doesn't try a heating pad.
