Did the doctor do any kind of attention scale with you on your son first? His day care provider or preschool teacher (if he goes to these type of places) can also be asked to fill out the attention scales - these help to give a better understanding if the child has normal attention for his age or if there is a case of ADHD with or without the hyperactivity. If it is a true case of this, there are lots of choices of medication to choose from if you want to go in that direction. Talk to your doctor about all your choices so you can make the best decision for your son and your family. Good luck!
