Depends on your body. Some people do only eat once a day, but it's for health reasons, and not because they want to stay thin. YOu need to know your body. Whatever you eat, it has to be balanced. Your body may be able to withstand it now, but you may feel the repercussions if you're not getting enough calcium to sustain bone mass for when you're older. Be sure to drink throughout the day and if you insist on eating once a day, eat good stuff, and supplement with vitamins and minerals.
Your looks are NOT all you have.

No it is not healty, but it works for a while for weight loss. I did this same thing for 27 years in order to combat weight gain. I had many headaches and hardly eliminated--which I liked at the time. After 27 years of only eating one meal a day, I started gaining weight from the one meal a day that I did eat. My metabolism slowed to a crawl and my digestive system became very sugglish. I had to start all over again with eating three meals a day and exercising even more, than I did, in order to rev up my metabolism. I managed to control my weight very well with this routine, but my digestive system is still a problem. Now, I'm in my 50's and menopause is a whole new ball game when it comes to weight control. Learn what you can now about menopause. Just because you want to remain thin and sexy won't make it happen. I too wanted this and did a lot of things to try to keep it. Also, I'm sure you have other qualities you can develop along with your sexiness. I consider myself yet sexy (not as thin as I would like to be, but doing better than most of my counterparts), smart, confident and have a lot to offer to society. And, I'm sure you have more to offer than your physical being. Get on a serious level with your true friends and have them to tell you what they like about you. And, don't be selfish, do the same for them. You will be surprised how you will start thinking about yourself in a more positive light.
I usually don't chat on the internet, but I submitted my first question tonight and thought I would check out this service Yahoo is now offering and saw your question. Hope my answer helps!

It's great to see I'm not the only "one-meal-a-day" person!! It's become a habit for me. I feel sluggish if I eat during the day and even if I do eat during the day, I still have the same amount of hunger at night. I'm not losing weight though, once I start eating at night, I pretty much snack till I go to bed. I'm 5'6" and 118 lbs. I'm just maintaining. I realize it is not logical for me to eat this way and not healthy either. My metabolism has slowed a good bit. Since we don't eat like ALL day, our bodies store whatever food we eat at night. The older I get, the more I realize that my looks don't matter near as much as I thought. How I feel about myself now has way more to do with the kind of person I am on the inside. I care about others and when I do good things and live right, I feel good about myself. And Although I only eat once a day, I have come real far in the past 10 years. I used to be bulimic and anorexic and went to a residential treatment facility in Arizona. It helped me SO much and I am grateful to be in recovery from those horrible disorders. I hope you soon realize that it truly is what's on the inside that counts. God created you just the way you are so when you critisize yourself, you're critisizing God's work. I am sure you're beautiful, try to remember that and look yourself in the mirror and say "I am beautiful". Let's both try to start eating something small during the day. Let's get real, we won't gain weight. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone and I hope somehow I helped you.

I find it highly unlikely your looks are all you have. However, as for your eating, if your body wants more food, it will ask for it. You might try eating a little bit several times a day instead of locking yourself into meals. I cannot eat the way the average person does, I just don't have the appetite. I eat a little of something about 5 times in a 24 hour period. Perhaps that would be a bit better for your body without worrying about gaining weight. If you don't eat enough to feed your muscles and all, your body will fail and your looks will no longer matter. Good luck!!

Find out from one who knows. People say by eating only once you slow down metabolism. But a slow metabolism is more efficient if you are not overeating. Buddha ate only once a day for decades. Gandhi did it at different times. I have done that (gives me more time to do things) for 30 years-- only once a day. People do not need much food but most Anericans eat way too much.
Not only that but I am an expert on fasting. I will fast 5 days with no food giving me more time. Am I healthy? See my website below where I can help people with many problems. I used to have one addiction. It was reading too much but only non--fiction. It is probably more important what you eat for that one meal than how often. I do not suggest it for others since for many it will create too much stress if they can't eat all the time. Only do it if it is not stressful causing you misery.

im a truck driver and i eat once every other day cause i was afraid i would look like the stereotypical trucker. i maintain a nice weight but the secret is taking a multivitamin the supplement what your body is not getting. liquid vitamins are the best because study show that your body kicks out 80% of any pill or capsul vitamin you take whereas liquid vitamins are absorbed by your body. if you really want to take it to a higher inexpensive level drink tons of water and throw in 10 teaspoons of tomato sauce a day if you can. tomato sauce is the strongest antioxidant known to man according to a report released by the national institute of health. that will keep your skin looking nice and clean and most of all healthy in appearance. if you dont have tomato sauce drink tomato juice. i like v8 tomato juice but dont overdo it cause too much tomato juice in the long run can cause problems with the lining of your stomach resulting in ulcers.

i also eat once a day and i wish that i was thin and sexy,
when man was a hunter he sometimes only ate a few times a week ,
gorged himself on the kill of the hunt and when he got hungry enough went to find something else
,not always immediately finding it .
eating like sleep have become too habitual for us ,
to break the habitual pattern is not unhealthy .
just the stomach and the brain have become addicted to the custom ,
the imagined damage is mental not physical

NO thats not healthy. All you have to do it is excercise to stay how you are you dont need to starve yourself something might happen to you. And if something happens to you for starving yourself why is being sexy gonna matter??? Plus you dont have to be thin to be pretty I know I;m far from Skinny , but I still look at myself as pretty.
THINK ABOUT IT.

Not at all. You need a certain amount of calories every day in order to function. If you are only eating once a day you probably aren't getting enough calories, or good nutrition, which puts your body into starvation mode. In starvation mode your body preps for famine and will convert your calories into fat because it doesn't know when the next meal is coming.

Your body will go into starvation mode. It will make it harder to keep your looks later in life. Thin is not in, healthy is. Healthy is eating more than 1 meal each day. You need to get some hobbies. You are much more than a pretty body.
