I received a dog bite on the face about this time last year. I since have noticed a little numbness to the area where I got bit. Does this mean I have some nerve damage? If so, can it be corrected. Doctors advice would be helpful! ;)

I seen a doctor the next day. He put me on antibiotics in case of infection. The dog did break the skin but no scar. But when he broke the skin, is when I am thinking he may have hurt a nerve.

Any time you get injured, you damage anything in that area. Depending on the extent of the injury, you will have numbness there for some time. It takes nerves 1 month per 1 centimeter to heal so it would depend on how big the areas are that are affected and how much nerve damage is involved. It is pretty much a given if the dog's bite broke the skin, it involved nerve damage. To make sure, you should see a doctor, otherwise, you simply have to let your body heal itself in it's own good time. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!!

Yes it is possible. And yes, it can be repaired to some extent. I imagine it could be costly. You really should see a doctor and not ask on yahoo... And hey, ouch. I hope you don't have too bad of scar.
