Post nasal drip. I have allergies and when I wake up I have a sore throat from post nasal drip all night long. Drinking water or tea quickly alleviates it.

I think if you put her symptoms in, under WEBMD HEALTH, you'll probably come up with reflux(gastroesophageal reflux to be exact) or post nasal drip from allergies as it is that season!!!! Either way, if it continues, I would have her checked out, she is only 10 years old! Good luck, don't think it's anything serious but always better to be safe, than sorry. : )

acid reflux does not discriminate when it comes to age. monitor what she eats before it happens. if there is something in particular she is eating before it happens than chances are you can make necessary adjustments to her eating habits. if all else fails you can take her in the see the doctor. you say she isn't sick but we're not doctors. unless you have already taken her in and the doctors said she wasn't sick.
remember we can't see sick but pedeatricians and technology can. have a nice weekend and wish u well. naz
