Hmm $25 million. That could buy a lot of weapons for Al Qaida couldn't it?

Here's what the govt is saying at this point, "Iraqi Prime Minister Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Thursday that the $25 million bounty on Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's head will be honored.

"We will meet our promise," al-Maliki told al-Arabiya television without elaborating. "

I read today, that the 25 million dollar reward, would be paid anonymously, to a member of Al-Zarqawi's inner circle. He gave the tip, that resulted in Al-Zarqawi's death.

The impression I get is that we got him through careful, tedious and painstaking intelligence analysis and meticulous following up of all leads.

This was a team effort from people within the US military.

Whatever it was, it was worth it. In this case I'll bet it was a disgruntled associate that burned him off. Its a sure sign that things are getting worse for the bad guys. They are all paranoid as s h i t.

They paid 10G's for the original info. I don't think the 25m, has been given to anybody.
