Your question is great for it did open up a lot of questions that are never faced or answered. Some of these are:
What is a relationship anyway? Why is it that the so called Christian mind seems to be focused on the sex relationship issue? How many different relationships did Jesus have meaning all not related to sex? What does Jesus have to do with the Christian religion that is declared by most? Is the prevailing so called Christian religion today in any way related to the Christian religion of the times shortly after the resurrection of Jesus? etc., etc.
In my opinion you did open a can of worms that can make the fishermen really think. I wonder if there are any fisherman still left in the world?
You have a great day as I do answer your question with this: I think it was great that Jesus did have many relationships with many people in his task of making His father available to be understood. For that I am for one very thankful that He was a faithful servant.

I must say I enjoyed LEN"S answer very much. To answer your question it is very bad to think that Jesus had any fleshly relationship with any woman. He did not come to earth to live out a human life like we do, but to set down the guidelines for how to get to heaven by word and action and to ultimately voluntarily die for our sins so that the gates of heaven will be open for all of us if we want it and be willing to do our part. Jesus would not be so irresponsible as to marry and have kids when His Mission and His obligation lie sole in procuring our salvation by dying on the cross and then resurrecting to reign in Heaven until the second coming. Don't you think that leaving a wife and kids behind would so not be His style?
I think you actually believed the fictional novel, Da Vinci Code which is based on the gnostic Scriptures that never made the Bible in the first place because they were untrue and were written by a cult that was not at all in accordance with true Christian teaching. Just because a sensational, highly publicized book says something against Christianity does not make it true. It has been hyped up so that the ignorant will get excited and think they have learned a new secret, but that only says more about how well the book was marketed than it does about the truth of its content. Actually, very devout Christians who are strong in their faith and their knowledge are truly saddened and even offended that their God and Savior should be defiled by any means, including inaccurate novels.

I like to start by saying that I am a Christian. I found the book an extremely good piece of fiction. It was great the way he interwined history and imagination. And the idea that Jesus was married. Wow... I love new ideas... Even when it talks about possible lost books. That idea has always intrigued me. How great would it be if they found lost books. It kinda sucks that some people are talking about this book like it is real. I mean it really ruins a good book. What's next...the national treasure cult?

First, and most importantly, Jesus wasn't having a "relationship" with a woman as depicted in DaVinci code, which I am sure that is what you are referring to here. That is FICTION, plain and simple.
If you want the truth, the absolute, untampered with truth, then read the Bible.
The book and movie DaVinci Code did nothing to Christianity, if anything, it made it stronger. It also showed how utterly gullable the public can be when it comes to trash, but do they bother to read the truth, no, they'd rather read a lie. Go figure.

By entertaining the idea that Jesus could have been married or had a relationship makes him more human than god incarnate. And by making him more human, it brings into question whether he can be a proper savior. Questioning his role as a savior could make people question their salvation.
The Church can't afford people questioning their salvation according to the teachings of the Church. If this were to happen, Christians could walk away from the authority of the Church and the Church would then lose alot of money and face the possibilty of falling apart.

Dude....
Jesus is our Lord,Master,King,Saviour.
He died for you and in your place on the Cross of Calvary ; in order to open the gates of heaven.
It is worst thing to even think of such a thing about God.
To tell the truth many great personalities had done such mistakes and ended up losing their lives.
Never doubt the Word of God!!! ?
It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):
" Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever
a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God:
JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an
American Magazine, he said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not
have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was
ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are
more famous than Him" (1966)".
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more
famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
TANCREDO NEVES:
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got
500 votes from his party, not even God would remove
him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he
got sick a day before being made President, then he
died.
CAZUZA:
During a show in Caneco (Rio de Janeiro), whilst
smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into
the air and said: God, that's for you.
I can't even explain how he died.
THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked
him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic
tone he said: "Not even God can sink it"
The result: I think you all know what happened to
the Titanic.
MARILYN MONROE:
She was visited by Billy Graham during a
presentation of a show. He is a preacher and
Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to
preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she
said:
"I don't need your Jesus"
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
BON SCOTT:
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979
songs he sang:
"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, wow the
highway to
hell".
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found
dead, he had been choked by his vomit.
CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005
In Campinas, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick
up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car
and was so worried about the drunkenness of her
friends and she said to the daughter - holding her
hand, who was already seated in the car: "MY
DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU",
She responded: ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT,
COZ INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL"
Hours later, news came by that they had been
involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the
car could not be recognized what type of car it had
been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact.
The police said there was no way the boot could have
remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot
was a crate of eggs, none was broken.
Many more important people have forgotten that there
is no other name that was given so much authority as
the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus
died and rose again, and he is still alive. JESUS!!!
This is all true and I hope you might have understood by now.......

It is true that the Church is the Bride of Christ. I don't believe anything other than what the Bible tells me about Jesus. Since Jesus was with out sin, it would stand to reason that if he had gotten married, he would not be a sinner. If he had had children, he would not be a sinner. These things are not a sin. Why would it not be mentioned in the Bible if it were true?
Jesus came down to earth for one reason and one reason only. To die for our sins and give us the option of salvation through his blood. To save the sinner. His time on earth was in perfect harmony with the will of the Father .

I don't know what it does to the Christian religion since I don't have a religion but faith in what He did for me on the cross. He died for my sins. Religion is where you have to do something. He did it all for me. If Jesus had a relationship it would destroy His Word. He was God manifest in the flesh and knew no sin. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Boy that would open up a can of worms , if I answered that. Being what you call a "Christian" isn't a Religion, it's REALITY. I am not agonna answer the first one. And to be plain bout' it, JESUS did not marry anybody or have kids. That wasn't HIS MISSION.

the issue is if He had sexual relationship or, what the daVinci code related, that He came down from the cross and married Mary Magdelene.
Jesus said I came to do what I see my Father do. I doubt God was having sexual relationships with HIs creation.
The Bible makes no mention of a relationship. even Jesus did not declare Mary His mother publicly, only referring her as woman. This is to keep Mary from idol status, as the Catholic church has elevated her.
