How do I cure my persian cat's chronic conjunctivitis?

Question

I have treated my female with medicine and natural medicine, but it won't go away for good. I want to be able to cure her problem, not just "fix it for now".
Any help would be appreciated as to what might work!

Have you taken your cat to the vet? They should be able to cure it with some medicines or possibly antibiotics if she has some type of virus or infection that is causing it. I hope your cat gets better.

Since a Persian cat's face is smooshed in, the structures inside the nose and lower eye often don't form correctly. Your cat's tear ducts are probably blocked, which means that your cat's eyes can't drain properly. If there's no drainage, all that eye lubricant has no place to go but out the eye itself. Since there's bad drainage, bacteria can get into the eye and find a nice place where they won't be washed away, hence the constant conjunctivitis. Your best bet would be to take your cat to the vet to see if the tear ducts are functioning.

Chronic feline conjunctivitis is a frustrating clinical problem, difficult to pinpoint etiologically and almost impossible to cure. You must be educated regarding the latent characteristics of the common pathogens, prepared for treatment failures, and willing to accept the possibility of lifelong ocular disease in your pet.

There are topical antivirals, particularly trifluridine, may subjectively shorten the course and severity of the conjunctivitis but generally reserved for patients with severe disease because of secondary irritation, expense, and the frequent application required for these virostatic compounds.
