Does she think i have illusions of what she is like. I know I place her in high regard but I know she is a person and i enjoy her for her. Does she wonder why i enjoy her ?

Tell her exactly what you told us! Say, "I know I place you in high regard, but I know you are a real person and I enjoy you for you." Tell her she doesn't have to wonder. You seem like a sweet guy.

well, honestly speaking, since you sound like my best friend, i say the same thing to him each time he compliment me, i don't think that you are infatuated. but i guess since my best friend knows me well since we were young, he idolize me to the fullest.
when i go back home, we spend vacation together alone, in and out of the country, we do enjoy each others company. we cry and lean on with each other, even we are thousand of miles away, we are just phone call away. i do rely on him a lot and my whole family adores him..
but then if you are my best friend, and ask me that last same question anonymously, i need an answer too but since my best friend knows how i feel about him, he should know my answer to that, no doubt about it.....

that could very well be the reason. also her self esteem may be a bit low and she needs some reasssurance.
