Skipping will help...but i mean, if you skip for like 5 hours a day every day. It won't make you taller.
Work out with weights -- you need machines. Leg extensions, Leg curls, Squats, and Back extensions are my favorite leg-working excersises, and my secret to success. I currently can squat 730 lbs.

I have not heard of an exercise that makes you taller. Try squating, running, and stretching to build your muscles.

squats deadlifts step ups w/ dumbells and dumbell lunges...for calves do calf raises...leg press is the best
