I'm looking at getting a Concealed Weapons Permit, and if I do i'm going to sell my ruger P95 and get something a little more suited for CC.

I have carried my Ruger P95 for ten years. Why would you want to carry something else? this is one of the most reliable guns made. I out shoot cops on their qualifying course with it.
I don't know many people who can go to the range and shoot any ammo with NO problems. Dead reliable.
I have shoot most handguns and like many, but I would never part with my Rugers.
Sometimes I carry my P85, but most of the time its my P95.

Ruger p95 is a large CC weapon, I think a snub nose taurus if a fine choice maybe consider going .38 or.357 or .40 cal

It's a nice gun but something with more power would be better IMO. A .38 or .40 would better knock down & dissable an assailant then the 9mm. I have a Ruger .357 revolver & my husband has a Springfield .40. We just completed our CHL class on Wednesday. The CHL instructor was adamant about having no safety on a weapon, because it could hinder firing in a situation that requires quick response.

Your choice is a good one! Although i prefer my HK USP compact .40S&W and my SIG P228. Berettia makes some VERY good quality weapons tho. You have to take into account the enviroment where you live too. I live in central Florida where the humidity is very high so i usally carry my HK. I hope that this helps.
P.S. if you don't like recoil,try i snubed-nosed .38
