"Longer growing seasons have caused genetic changes in a wide range of animals in the past few decades, biologists announced today.

As the spring reproductive season arrives earlier and lasts longer in northern latitudes, a fact owing to climate change, animals that can adapt their schedules stand a better chance of seeing their genetic information passed on to later generations, leading to a change in gene frequencies within populations."

Gee, sounds to me like this is based on reproducible scientific exploration. I wonder what the creation scientists have to say about it?

You're talking about the same people who also deny the phenomenon of global warming (source of longer growing seasons) in the first place.

Animals have always adapted as the climate changes etc. This is not proff of evolution and there is not one shred of evidence that an animal has changed to another animal. If you look at all the scientific evidence you will find that much of it is not even being taught in our colleges therefore even scientists after graduating are finding this out and very upset that they have not been presented with all the facts. Many have thus become Christians seeing that there is more evidence for creation than evolution. Check this out Christianworldview.net (I think that is right) This man used to be an atheist and I think you will be intrigued by his information.

It depends on which kind of evolution you are talking about . Quran says that humans beings have been created by God. The first human was Adam, which was also the first messenger of God. Islam denies that Humans have been evolved from Apes. But islam does not deny evolution, after all, the evolution process does takes place in universe. After big bang, the universe has been evolved. and when a child is born, he grows up through evolution process. IN ISLAM, God has so many attributes, one of the attributes of God is "THE CREATOR", and other one is "THE EVOLVER".. Whereever there is a creation, HE IS THE CREATOR, whereever there is an evolution, HE IS THE EVOLVER.

Sometimes i wonder why Atheist and Christians are fighting on this topic. When we clearly witness creation , and when we clearly witness evolution.

"He is God—the Creator, the Maker, and the Giver of Form. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the heavens and Earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. Quran 59: 24

no such thing as an evolution. EVEN YOU KNOW GOD CREATED EVERYTHING. what basis are u coming up with that can factor another piece of non-existent evidence? if we came from apes, how did humans begin to speak? why didnt apes speak? how all of a sudden humans came up with voice boxes? some kinda big bang in the bodies of the ape? why dont apes speak now? how does dna skip to different generations? they go to the ocean and wait and then reproduce under water? why arent we amphibious then? evolution is the biggest lie. scientists have no facts. can they re-create? why did and do big bang theories exist no more. u mean to tell me that it happened one time and everything in this world and everything in this earth was created by an explosion? comeon ath4choice. u know better than that.

How exactly does this prove we came from apes?

Evolution is a given. The definition of evlolution is a gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form. That happens as we grow from infant to adult. It doesn't mean that we've all come from the one-celled amoeba.

Adaptation types of evolution are micro evolution - it's a given, not a theory. Macro evolution is a far fetched theory of the 19th century that was believable before we realize the complexity of life and had technology enough to study life better. God bless you.

Every animal learns to adapt. God built it into to them and us. If you moved to Siberia you would learn to adapt to the cold weather. Evolution smolution.

Gravsendian, the UF researchers had to CREATE this DNA. So that means you believe in creation. So it didn't happen on it's own. Someone had a hand in it. Same goes with this world and all its occupants.

Yeah ....
Intelegent design my butt.....
Another great testament to evolution is the fact that pharmacutical compies are constntly making new drugs for the same old stuff.

Could that be because - as humans .. we are genetically changing to adapt to our surroundings? Even drugs?

I say yes & stop with the trying to shove Intelegent design down the children of public school's throats....

I don't think any of the creation scientists have a problem with the adaptability of any of the species.

Adaptability does not define evolution, it is only an aspect of it.

By the way, why does this one number seem to keep popping up everywhere in nature:

I posted a question some other day. UF researchers have created DNA that uses 6 nucleotides and can reproduce. It is completely artificial and Creationists told me that even though it is alive, it has no soul so it doesn't count. They'll never be satisfied. It's truly sad.
