It is HIGHLY unusual to find Christians backing any sort of expansion on what people are free to do.
They are anti-liberty. They want to stop Americans from choices involving sex, religion etc.
They are against secularism. They want prayer in public places, forcing non christians to their faith. They're anti-feminism.The fact that men’s roles are more powerful and public is something women are supposed to simply deal with because that’s God’s will.
Christians are anti-Plurism. They feel that their beliefs are right, but are the ONLY beliefs that should be accepts. Muslims, Jews, Hindus and all others are not neccessary! They distract people from God!
CHRISTIAN ARE ANTI-DEMOCRATIC:
Christians often opposes, principles of equality and neutrality which democracy requires — for example, giving equal time to non-Christians and not treating Christianity as if it were a favored religion and political ideology.

So why all of the control of others?

Because Christians are controlling. They do not feel comfortable if tey are not controlling everyone. They certainly do NOT believe in the Bible. At least, they do NOT follow the teachings of the Bible.
They do not follow the ten commandments. But, they want everyone else to.
Show me a Christian that actually works 6 days a week and rests on the 7th Day. As the 4th commandment tells them to. Or a Christian that does not cause others to work on the Sabbath. .
Like going to a store (where people work, so they can shop) or restaurants (to go eat after going to church), or to gas stations (where someone must be there to operate the computerized pumps and exchange cash or other forms of currency).

Show me Christians who do not divorce. I am sure there are many, but I do wonder what the percentage is of those who are divorced, even tho Jesus told them not to.
Show me a Christian who is NOT a hippocrite.

Oh yea, they are always judging othrs, even tho God said, "Judge not" And they are always telling non Christians they are going to Hell

Not all of this is true. We aren't anti-feminism. There are female pastors around the globe. You might want to research if you care enough. And we don't "force" people to do anything. We tell them the Truth, and it is up to them to begin a relationship with God. Think of it as planting a seed. Some grow, some don't, but our goal is to plant as many as possible. This is not something to be ashamed of. God is pleased with His children spreading the gospel. Christian is the correct religion. But it is more of a action than a noun. You are a Christian if you fulfill God's will in your life, and strive to be like Christ, and know that Jesus is the Son of God, and died on the cross for our sins.

The irony behind the fact that our President is a Christian and our congress/ senate is composed of mostly christians. I wonder why then ...

We allow gay groups to express them self without arresting them or prohibiting them from walking outside holding hands or having their own cable channel or magazine, their own natinal parade and tv shows.

In this country you can practice any religion you want, you can pray or not pray in public places. Female CEOs and small business owners are in a rise...as a matter of fact females are now the leading group among small business owners.

There are more temples in NY than churches and if you go to Texas you will find communities that only have Hindu temples.

So for a country that most of the senate and congress is christian or conservative it seems to me that the US is the most liberal country in the planet. At least we are not beheading those that do not practice Christianity...

I'm a liberal democrat who believes in civil rights, is pro choice and guess what I'm a theist who used to be Christian and still is in many ways a follower of Christ, so that breaks your theory on one level. Trust me, true Christians don't try to control others, they just try to help others and most, truely, think they are saving your souls. Those who throw hate around aren't true Christians and I'm sure you know that. My family is Catholic, protestant, etc and they are very good-hearted nice people. I've also known many other people who were of these religions who have been very helpful and nice to me in my life. There are bad apples in every bunch, if you are looking for more liberal Christians try the Methodist church or the UUA, they're out there, you just got to find them. These Christians are not the types to stand on street corners, they don't throw their beliefs in people’s face, they are happy and they just want others to be as well. I hope you meet some of them someday. Peace be with you. :)

You have a rather distorted view of Christians, IMHO. Most of the Christians I know are anything but "anti-liberty." The ones of whom you speak try to impose their moral strictures on others because they are what some call "legalistic." They believe that by enforcing what they see as "God's law" on everyone they are somehow doing God a favor. Tell them that if God is God, he doesn't need their help and probably doesn't want it.

YOU have no right to say anything about what Christians do/say/feel/know if you are not one, for you do not know what you are talking about.

It breaks God's heart that you do not like what we do. It is a command of His to witness to you. I would wish you felt otherwise, but after you have heard the Gospel, we cannot force you to love God. First off, we do not force our belief on others. We just tell you like it is...best way we know how.
If you just realize, it is not us you are condeming, it is God. Be oh so very careful when you turn Him down.

We ought to follow the Law of God and then there would be no problem...this goes for Christians too.

UUUUUmmmmm, obviously You dont know Me My belief is that God want's us to live free as Christians,Knowing that if We do fall, as Jesus say's We eventually will.

It's not an if thing It undoubtedly will happen,No matter what way or how it tends to come about.
It will happen, can be as simple as a white lie to your child,You have money for the toy,but it's not important to You so therefore might make a comment like I dont have the money for that.

Therefore a lie is a lie white ,grey,or black.
It is all the same to God,regardless of the level of evil Man put's into it.
say Child molestation is worse than rape as stealing is as bad as murder to God.

Therefore all that I'm saying is,if You are a christian at a church that does not have compassion for anyone and all You dont go to my church, and "God dont force your walk neither should anyone else.

In Jesus sweet name,I wish you peace amen.

Until all these "others" came along, this was a Christian country. Remember "In God We Trust"? So who is infringing on whom? We have seen Christianity taken out of every institution in the last 40 years. Why shouldn't we fight for what we believe in?

I agree with you 100%. I'm tired of alot of Christians talking s**t to me because I am Wiccan and I do spells. They tell me that I am going to hell...lol..but they are the ones that should not be judging because we're all facing the same god or goddess, we just do it a different way. I wish they shut the f**k up..lol..
