You got that right! It's amazing how people have turned God into a God of hatred, and His Son into a failure. Jesus came to save the world, but Satan won the majority of mankind, according to most Christians. And God is not Sovereign (supreme power), because He doesn't have the power to save His created beings, according to most Christians. You're absolutely right, He is our Father, and what father on this earth, who loves his children, would be so evil to his children for being disobedient?? Satan is doing his job well. Before the early Roman Catholic church became corrupted in the medieval times, and before, it was called The Universal Church (catholic means universal). They also believed in universal salvation (salvation for all). We all came out of that church via Martin Luther. He brang many truth's to light, but unfortunately not all of them. Satan fooled Adam and Eve with his first big lie, but his first lie is not his only lie. He was a murderer and liar from the beginning, and he still is.

From what I understand, Heaven is what you make it, and hell is what you go through. Lets say a person had Unprotected sex, they were not ready, and they didn't know whether they were or were not pregnant. The whole time they would be worried. That I believe would be hell. They can't focus because they are consumed by the flames of something that theycould have avoided. This can be applied to anything that a person is able to do. Think about this. If you actually think about it, a rusting car is actually burning very slow which is called oxidizing. Think of the way material deteriorates. We may be there.

I agree with you totally 100%. Hell only exists if you believe it and you really create your own version of hell right here on earth. You can "experience" hell if you believe it, just the same as any other beliefs that you hold. I also don't think that Satan exists, except as something that early humans created to explain away famine, disease, pestilence and natural disasters, before science evolved enough to explain these things.
God is all-loving and does not judge us. God has no need for revenge or punishment. God is not angry. These are human traits which cannot be ascribed to God.
We are not punished for our "sins" by God.
That is not to say that there are no consequences to our actions, for whatever we put out into the universe comes back to affect us in one form or another, so in essence, we actually punish ourselves. God has no need to do this.

Do you really want to take a chance that there is no hell? God's Word plainly says there is a hell and you don't have to go there. There is only one way to miss hell and that is to believe and trust what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you He died for your sins. I can't change what you say you believe but I think that God Word is correct and what you believe is not. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mark 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

I don't think hell exists.
1 John 4:8 "He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love."
Notice that it says God doesn't only have love, he IS love.
He also loves justice:
Deuteronomy 32:4 "The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; Righteous and upright is he."
Like you said, he is note spiteful, vengeful, or jealous. He is loving and forgiving and righteous. Someone with these qualities will never cause others to suffer, or in the concept of hell: burn forever.

Sure it does, but I believe it’s a separation from God, it’s a state of mind, like being depressed, anxious or feeling crazy at times. I don't believe God would send us to an eternal hell for every little sin, yes we need correction but I think of it this way, God has ultimate power, right, he's omnipotent, so he has the power to heal his creations from the sickness that is "evil" or at least enlighten the ignorant. We have free will, so some of us will choose stupidly to be selfish, but I have to believe that there's hope for all people and that even the worst will be saved some how through the spirit of Gods love. I know, bleeding heart, right, no, trust me I'm not that nice, this is just what I feel at the moment. :) Peace be with you.

I believe the Bible.
Therefor, yes - I do believe in hell.
And contrary to what you believe - I also believe God is a jealous God...that he doesn't want his children worshipping other idols/gods...and that like any responsible 'parent' he'll hold us accountable for whatever we choose to do here on earth.
think about what you believe for a second:
If there was no hell - than it really doesn't matter how bad we are...God's gonn'a give us our own way anyhow!??!
no, I don't think so.
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell" Matthew 10:28
...there are other verses too - but I'm not going to include them...make no mistake: "Hell is real" (and so, is heaven - btw)

it may or may not, it depends on what you believe and how you look at it. i think hell as it's most commonly known is just a scare tactic created by the church. The church was for a period of time the only power that had access to the scrolls and scriptures. they probably just scared people into behaving the way they wanted them to, so they could keep their place of power. Hell does exist as a concept and a fear and a manipulation tactic. how does anyone even know if we will feel pain after we die? we wont have our physical bodies anymore.

Have you ever been to Barstow, California? I agree. I don't think Hell is a physical place with fire and brimstone. It is just that people need something tangible to envision when they come across a concept such as Hell. And that is all it is, just a concept. I think we all go to the same place when we die, it is just that some rooms may be nicer than others. I am hoping for a penthouse Suite with adjoining rooms. But at the rate I am going, my soul may find its eternal resting place at the Heavenly Budget Inn.

Jesus was not American. He was Jewish. The Bible needs to be studied from a Jewish perspective.
When Jesus talks about Hell, he is actually talking about the dump on the South side of Jerusalem. There are maggots there and always things burning and rotting. So when he refers to being apart from God as fire-and-brimstone-Hell, he is making a metaphore (something he was good at).
God is Love. God is Good. Can God be all powerful if suffering exists? This is the common challenge to the belief of God. But God limits his power to give us free will. So in a universe where good is not all powerful, "evil" is bound to seep in.
To be without heat is to be cold. Likewise, an eternity devoid of goodness or love would be torment. Evil and suffering is just the absence of good and love.
However, Hell exists NOW. Heaven exists NOW. They exist through the actions of people. If someone is perpetuating love, compassion, celebration, and fighting for the oppressed, they are bringing Heaven to Earth right now. If someone is perpetuating hate, oppression, or even apathy they are bringing Hell to Earth now.
I agree with the others: we send ourselves to Hell.
God Bless. Love Wins.
ps. God is not Jealous in the English sense of the word. God says that to a people who are trying to wrap their minds around a monotheistic God. God is not a god. He is so much more.

Hell does exist for this is the way He has prescribed for the wrong doers. If good and bad were equal would we humans like it? If we don't like this equality how God will reward the good and the evil doer. God rewards and punishes for even an atomic worth of good or evil. God loves His creation as no one else but just think when some children of parents are good and some bad whom do the parents show affection and reward and whom do the parents should their annoyance and punishments.
