Gay people can believe in God the same way everyone else believes in God.
Merely being gay is not a sin. Homsexual acts are sinful. Gays and straight alike are called to live a life of chastity.
However, the disordered nature of homosexuality cannot be ignored. Nature did not intend to have same-sex relationships. The physical differences between male and female prove this.
And who designed nature? God did, of course. To deny, defy, or flatly ignore the male-female sexual relations nature intended is to deny, defy, and flatly ignore the Will of God.
The rejection of God's Will is always sinful.
But none of that means a gay person couldn't also be a model Christian. We have to remember the axiom, "Hate the sin, not the sinner." One must avoid the sin of homosexual activity, but merely being homosexual is not a sin.

God can forgive them for the sins the same way he forgives "straight" people. I disagree with the person that said gay people are born that way; their lifestyle is a choice convinced by the Devil for them to make. God would not put gay people on the Earth deliberately; he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for that reason amongst others. For those people, I am glad that they believe in God and Heaven, but they should consider a different lifestyle to better serve God.

Simple. They believe god created everyone, including them. You're born gay, not turned gay, so god made them that way. Why couldn't they believe in god?

How can sinners believe in God? Easy since Jesus did not come to save righteous people, He came to save sinners. We all fit into that catagory.
