Would he look like Michaelangelo's painting or Mel Gibson's depiction. Or someone else - like a Mexican, Arab or even a black woman? Do you think he will be rejected by MOST people again, because he will not look like what we expect?

The Lord Jesus will return to take up his own in the blink of an eye. Upon his "return" the answer to who will accept him or reject him will have already been answered, hence why the Lord Jesus will be making his return.

For biblical reference, go to 1 John 3: 1 & 2. For that matter, you should read the rest of the chapter to get a better understanding of what it takes to be a Child of God

I do not think there will be any doubt who Jesus is when he comes back again. Because he will not come again as an infant born to a human mother. He said himself when he returns he will come in the clouds (from the East) where Jerusalem is,and he would return to the Earth in power, and Glory.
He will be full of power, and accompanied by an army of Angels to fight the Anti Christ and his army, and they will defeat the Anti Christ:
It is written when Jesus returns all knees will bend, and all people will bow down before him.He will come back in power and Majesty,as the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Study the course of the end times in Revelation. Jesus doesn't come back to Earth in human form. Christians are raptured (taken into Heaven). In Heaven. there is a marriage festival. The church is "wed" to Jesus. Then, when Armegeddon is ready, we descend to Earth with Jesus to battle it out with Satan. Afterwards, there is a period of 1000 years in which we restore the Earth to Eden.

I've been doing much studying of the end times in the last two months.

However, Jesus is here everyday, in the sense of acts of love, compassion, celebration, and community. Whenever someone fights for the oppressed or actively cares for the underprivileged, they are serving the Christ.

God Bless. Love Wins.

The paintings of the Lord Jesus Christ is not what He looked like. When the apostle John see the Lord Jesus Christ in His glorify body. He is not the lowly Jesus that all things He is when they look at those pictures. Revelation 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; Revelation 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: When you see him, you will know him because He is God Almighty.

When Jesus comes there wont be any room for confusion. He will come in the clouds with literally millions upon millions of his angels - the skies will be filled with this -pouring out of darkened clouds..., even the best special effects of Hollywood could not produce anything this spectacular.

For the unsaved and especially for those who serve the Antichrist - this will be a day that will make all unsaved men and women drop to their knees in terror.

If you are a child of God we will go to meet him in the air in the rapture. If you are not a child of God at the rapture you will remain on earth and live through the tribulation(that is when the Lord will deal with Israel again) At Jesus second coming you will know Him because He will come to set up His earthly kingdom.

All His glory will show...
white as wool
shinier than the sun
Faithful and True
power will come from His tongue.

People will recognize Him, all right. When He comes for His second coming, others will have already rejected Him beforehand. For thos who do know Him, they will be alongside Him.

There will be no mistaking Him.

I feel like I've answered this before....

He'd be in the same place that everyone in modern times who gets messages from God, is talked to by God, is a reincarnated Saint, is the "Son of God", etc....

A nice padded room with a big fat lock and no key, doped to the gills on antipsychotics.

Not anti-Christian, just basic fact.

I appreciate your open mind, mini; exploring the possibilities. Excellent.

To some of these other answers... OK, Jesus is going to lift us up, and take us to heaven, yet set up His Earthly kingdom? Hmmm, sounds like a conflict of actions...
