If he doesn't want us to suffer why didn't he do anything about all the murders. Why did he let them suffer the way they did. Why is there so much suffering in the world?

He was very much paying attention. There are a couple of reasons. The Bible tells us not to worry about the folks that can kill the body but the one that can kill the soul. Remember at the trial of Jesus when the people were calling for Jesus to be crucified, they agreed that Jesus' blood would be on their childrens' heads. God also provided folks such as Schindler to save some. God is always watching and paying attention, but it is part of the foretold birthpains.

That's a good question.
So, I guess God cannot be all powerful and completely good. In fact that's the most common way Christianity is attacked. And every Christian answer to that question is flawed. Perhaps God limits his power to give us free will. In a universe where good is not all powerful, bad will seep in, eh?

But, who's to say the Holocaust wasn't cut short?
At the same time, why did people allow the Holocaust?

We do live in an imperfect world, though. If there is a Heaven, I would like to see people trying to bring an end to suffering. I would like to see Heaven NOW on Earth, instead of Hell on Earth. Is this what God's people are called to do? I think so.

God Bless. Love Wins.

God is no respect of person in the age of Grace. He is offering salvation to all that will believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross. He died for our sins, He was buried and took our sins away and rose again the third day for our justification. We live in a evil world, God is not doing signs and wonder today. We walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

If marauders came to your town, and burnt three houses, and the police showed up, stopped them, and put them in jail, would you curse them for being late? Even if your house was saved?

That's what happened in WWII. Many people, from all over the world suffered, and died. Perhaps England should have ignored Nevill Chamberland (peace in our time).

The question should be; "Where the Allies on God's side, doing God's work, when the wiped the Nazi's from the face of the Earth?!"

God never said we wouldn't suffer, as a matter of fact Jesus Christ said just the opposite. Stop and think about what brings about change in your life - when pain drives you to make a change whether you want to or not. When you can understand that statement of truth - then you will understand why God has to allow suffering - because we are mule-headed and until we suffer we don't give our lives to Jesus Christ and that means we reject him - that means we go to hell - and that is what he says he does not desire for us!

Because there is a time for everything and now is not the time to take revenge about it. But wait for his promise, according to the bible, the day in which he takes vengance uppon the wicked is pretty near. So although it seems like a long time, it isnt that far from now. God loves us and will not tolerate viewing us suffer for much longer.

The short and easy answer is free will. Each and every person has a free will, to do both good and evil, both to himself and the rest of the world. The complexities we do not understand, and cannot understand. I don't know why it happened, but let me tell you about a God who can make all things work together for good!

Depending on who you talk to, the Holocaust didn't happen. Life is suffering, that's how you know you are alive.

Where did you get the idea that God doesn't want us to suffer?? He is indifferent to us mere mortals, oh, and He doesn't exist.

Don't be so quick to blame God for everything. God is good. God is holy. Satan dabbles around in this world too. God is a just God and His justice WILL prevail at His appointed time.

Hitler, and what he did to the Jewish people, was Hitler's free will and his hunger for power and glory not to mention the fact that he was demented. Hitler was a "small example" and "sign" of one that's still to come.

Because god doesn't exist!

A theodicy is an explanation for why there is there so much evil in a world that was created by an all powerful, all knowing, and all loving god.

No theocidies work, not even the popular "free will" one.
