i thought yahoo answers was for educational purposes... but i guess the majority of people just post any question that comes at a whim to see how people will reply/react... i cant think of any other practical reason to answering this question or having it answered, however it could be some kindof study on common societal responses. maybe there is some practical use to this question and others like it.
may maybe i have no say in this...
ill just answer to the best of my knowledge:
im not sure if there is any hidden meaning behind this question though... maybe "you" means something else... because how can we as the reader universally have our dogs on you the question askers leg... maybe some of us dont have dogs... how does this question have any relevance then?
theres just too much to think about for a question so seeemingly self contradictory.
ill just say... assume rather that it is as mundane a question as it seems... and that the answer you are looking for is really simply that ---- wait! this isnt even a question its more like a polite demand... there wouldnt even be an answer to it... accept maybe an ok.. or "sure ill get the dog of your leg... im so sorry"...
anyway ive tried to answer this pseudo question as best i can... and i hope you find my knowledge of some use or resolve.
-this was meant to be insightful not critical, i just really cant think of why this is a practical question-

I have a Black Lab, she always does that when she smells something funny. Have you been fishing today, perchance?
