Because the rash pattern associated with Lyme's Disease does not always follow the characteristic bullseye, I would suggest you err on the side of caution.Let a doctor decide if further testing or treatment is needed. I have known several people who had Lyme's Disease and it's nothing to mess with. Early treatment is the way to go.

I would not mess around with this. Lyme disease can start in the same way and is passed through ticks. After 12 days, the rash should be gone. Take him to the doc as soon as possible!!!

Have a doctor look at it...it could be lyme disease or you may still have part of the tick in your skin...I am currently keeping an eye on my sons tick bite. Dr told me if swelling or rash appears to bring him in.

Last summer I had a bite on my upper inner leg. Had a bite mark + lumps under the skin. Those lumps were my lymph nodes going crazy. Don't want to worry you, but get this checked out. I had to go on strong ABs for 6-months. Do you have joint aches?

Take him to a doctor and have it checked out if you're that worried about it. I don't know if it's normal or not, sorry.

Take him to the doctor, you never know it is better to get it checked out and find out nothings wrong, than to not get it check and find that it is to late.
