Depression is a serious, and very common, ailment. It might start with not wanting to do anything worthwhile, even get out of your bed. Some people don't eat, others overeat. It's when you stop taking interest in the things you do every day.
A doctor is important to diagnose depression. He or she might refer you for counseling or prescribe antidepressants.

I took the test on depressionhurts.com then went to the doctor. She had to try me out on like 3 different depression meds before putting me on Cymbalta. I've been on it for like 4 months now. I had lost all interest in EVERYTHING. I didn't want to wake up. Didn't want to go to bed of a night because I knew it led to another day.........I was overeating. Hateful, you name it. I feel better now. She put me on Buspar for anxiety also. I'm pretty well chilled out!
