I've had a crush on this guy for almost an year and I've talked to him a couple times but I would usually be tough... which is quite rare. I just heard him say that he liked one of my friends and I'm so sad. He's on my mind every day and I really wonder if I will have a chance with him. I don't wanna TRY to get him to like me, I want him to like him the way I am. I don't know if I should give up. I feel like I've never felt before. I've had so many crushes, but not like this.

Oh girl, i feel your pain. Nothing is harder in life than having a deep crush on someone, only to find out their hearts belong somewhere else. From what you telling me, I think that you have liked him for too long to not have made a move.
You see, guys are pretty oblivious to those emotions around them (sorry guys, but I'm trying to keep it real) and you may need to actually say something instead of waiting in the sidelines. You cannont always wait for love to come your way and sometimes you might have to initiate the move, in order to get what you want.
By not approaching him and saying your piece, you in a way are giving up. Don't let your fears hold you back from expressing how you feel to him. The worst thing is that it may not develop into something deeper. You can still remain friends and at least you know where you stand.
Be honest and follow your heart-regardless of what may come.

You mentioned you have talked with him a couple of times but you would usually be tough, well if I understand you correctly, guys who like young ladies usually like the ones who are lady like and not someone that they feel are tough. I'm not really sure based on what I read but if he likes one of your friends, there's not much you can do. Try being a friend to him and be nice, and someone he feels is easy to talk to. You know what they say, a good relationship should start off with a friendship. You never know what can happen.

Give him one last chance, this will be the final chapter to a year of heart ach. You can only chase after a love for so long.... then it's called stalking. But honestly, do that one last time, then move on and up.

You say you want him to like you for who you are...then say you act tough and it's rare for you. Being yourself is the only way someone will like you for you. It's normal to act stupid when you like someone,especially when your young, but, if i were you, I'd get your nerve up and tell the dude how you feel about him. What have you got to lose?? At the very least, you can get what you want...or, you'll know you have to find someone else..Either way...No more misery.

honey. the next time he comes by, try and act normal. u r just acting tough coz you don't want him 2 find out u like him. Try 2 b his friend. If he feels the same bout u, sparks will fly. if not at least u know u tried.

Like yourself the way you are. Insist on being that. See who likes that. Persue relationships with the ones who like you for who you already are. It will come out anyway in the relationship. Be yourself, don't pretend. Be honest with him and yourself. Maybe find someone better.

it is tough when the guy you like likes your friend. just be at peace with the thought that who he likes is someone you know who wont hurt him. if he doesnt like you move on. it will be hard, but at least you wont be wasting your time investing your feelings on someone who cant give them back. be safe!
