I repeat this over and over. To say Americans don't want jobs no matter how menial is a slap in the face to strong work ethic Americans and creates a class of people preferencial to having jobs agaisnt you.
That is the propaganda you have been fed, not the other way around. If you think I wouldn't pick watermelons all day or clean houses with no shame then you don't know me very well.
After our jobs for retail and service went overseas, our citizenship is next on the chopping block. Those chinese labels you speak of are from Wal-Mart. Cheap labor? Undercut your finacial lives all you want while there are families that cannot feed themselves and children that can't afford sneakers because of cheap labor, and contribute to the immense trade deficit with China for over 64 billion this year alone, over 200 last year since that came up.
How much of your jobs, money, and citizenship are you willing to give away without a fight? From what some of you say, you couldn't do it fast enough.
America will be remembered as the country that gave itself away for nothing.

Unless you're a Native American, the kind that Christopher Columbus incorrectly called an Indian, then your ancestors were afforded immigration into the US.
I find your comments to be both ignorant and offensive. I think anyone of hispanic (or any other) origin that comes to our country LEGALLY, within the confines of the law, is welcome and I celebrate America's diversity.
What I think we DON'T need is a flood of people who circumvent the law of the land with respect to immigration. I think if you're not here legally, you shouldn't be allowed to work, have a bank account, vote, or anything else.
If there's something wrong with the immigration law as it stands, then perhaps we need a dialogue on changing it.
What we really don't need is the bigotry that your so-called "question" fosters.

Actually, I've worked side by side with lots of Mexican immigrants, many of them illegals. For the most part Mexicans have a much better work ethic than Americans. I'm an anglo-American by birth and I hate to be the one to give you the bad news.
But it does figure. Just like the dirt poor European immigrants that flooded America in the 19th century, the dirt poor Mexican immigrants flooding America now have a drive to succeed that coddled natural born Americans will never understand.

Hello...? Unless you're a Native American, you are the ancestor of immigrants. This nation was build on the blood, sweat and tears of immigrants and the economy we enjoy today would not have been possible except for the proliferation of the slave trade. You should be thanking your African-American brothers and sisters on whose ancestors' backs this country was able to grow. Yes, God Bless America...and ALL Americans.

"We" as in whities? You didn't build your own economy by yourself. Besides. A significant amount of America's economy involves foreign/overseas labor. Ever noticed all the made in china/indonesia/japan stickers on stuff you buy. Yeah. I don't see you working in sweatshops providing America with stupid little trinkets. Do you like watermelon? Yeah, it doesn't get picked by machine. It gets picked by hand, usually by illegal immigrants. I know for a fact because I used to life in the country and would ride down the road every day and see the work. Please stop being so ignorant and do some research before you make such a stupid remark.

When was the last time you worked on a farm picking fruit for umpteen hours a day?
You are right, we don't need outside labor however, if it were to stop, do you think the employers would hire American's for the same rate? No!
They'd probably sooner leave the country and manufacter elsewhere.
Lots of people moaning for jobs they would not do ANYWAY!

Well you know, it didn't happen just by one nation and that without the world's help the economy is a waste and that most of our products come from mexico and canada and china and also south America,etc... and that's not a question, if you want to write a racist comment, don't write it where someone can read it, not that I'm Spanish but I'm Asian and that was a racist statement.Travel the world.

Actually, America was built in the hands of immigrants. Dutch, German, Polish, British, Spanish - you name it. We just need to accept that sooner or later Mexicans are going to want to come to the US. I think you missed the day in history class, the lesson was titled "America is a melting pot", but I think it's more like a "tossed salad". Anyway, you should really get over yourself and start helping those less fortunate!

I'll preface this by saying that hispanics or any other race that wants to come to the US LEGALLY and better this country through their efforts is more than welcome.
The falacy is that illegal immigrants take jobs that americans don't want them - Reality is that they reduce the pay for those jobs so that americans can't survive in our economy. They come in and live with their families, send money home to mexico, chew up benefits through welfare, food stamps, medical insurance and cost more than they contribute. If you can't contribute more than you receive then go home. If you can't learn english and have a desire to support this country, then go back to your old country.
If you can't swear allegiance to this country, then go back where you came from.
This country is a land of opportunity - if you contribute to creating opportunity and the life of this country then you are welcome. If you suck us dry, then you are not.
Think about what you're trying to achieve - is it opportunity or just a free ride?

And whats wrong with mexicans we jus came here lookin 4 work and tryin 2 make a life and support our family's and show how much we are dedicated 2 makin a life 4 our selfs. What makes us so different from americans iz it because we have a different skin color? Iz it because were from a different country? Iz it because we speak a different language? were humans jus like you we jus choose to not 2 think that were better then every body else were jus bein who we are!!!!!!!!!
