Can someone quickly tell me the name of the big fountain in Washington DC? I think they have protests there sometimes. Hope someone can help a clueless Aussie! :)

You're probably thinking of the Reflecting Pool,. It is located between the Washington and Lincoln Monuments (15th and 22nd streets on the National Mall).

The other possibility is the Capitol Reflecting Pool, which not surprisingly, is in front of the Capitol Building.
