That isn't true about it being toxic.
We eat a lot of spinach and reheat it all the time. That was an old wives tale about it being bad.

Of course raw spinach contains the most nutrition for your body, but I've never heard about any problems from reheating it. I've done that plenty of times.

OK, we all do know that spinach comes in other forms than those that are canned? However, it sounds to me like something that Moms tell their kids to get them to eat it. "You have to eat this now honey, because we can't reheat it" - along the same lines as Popeye the sailor "spinach makes you strong". Those little lies we tell our kids for their own good:)

Now, stop and think about your question. When Spinach is originally put in the can it is COOKED in the can and then the can sealed. When you open the can you re-heat it.
I think you are missing something here, like how LONG of a TIME spinach can sit on the table or counter before you re-heat it or before you can not re-heat it safely... and I really don't know.

I know you can't use fresh spinach as baby food because it can contain nitrates (I think that's the right word) but I'm not sure about reheating it.

If you reheat spinach and eat it, you'll turn into a Democrat.
