I've been peeing in a gallon jug and it smells like rotten eggs when I open the cap to pee again. Is it something I have been eating or do I have a problem?

Most likely this is not a result of the fresh urine, but the urine that has remained in the gallon jug over time. I suggest that you have a urine test from your physician to rule out the possibility of infection, especially if you have any other symptoms. You probably should not be keeping urine in a jug either, as it could become a breeding ground for all sorts of things.

Also, certain foods can affect the smell of urine, so if you have been eating anything different, take that out of your diet for a few days and see if it helps anything.

Good luck...see a doctor first to rule out any possibilities, but you are probably okay!

wow....you people are hilarious....why would you pee on a gallon jug??
urine is the dispose of substances that the body doesn't need, and even though it is sterile, or clean, when you first pee, at the slightest contact with bacteria it becomes infected because of the amounts of nutrients and rich substances that it contains, so, if you pee on a jug (still don't know why,) and it contains bacteria inside, the urine will become infected and it'll smell because of the decomposition that bacteria are producing.....
please....stop peeing on a jug....don't you have a toilet??
The fact that it smells doesn't mean that you have an infection....
the fact that you take the time and patience to pee on a jug might mean that you need a life.....no offense...

I'm going to assume you are pissing in a jug because you are collecting for a test for A Doctor, henceforth why the smell of rotten eggs? The test will reveal hopefully!

Any time you piss into a jug your urine will soon start smelling bad. This doesn't mean you are physically ill, but does mean that you need to start properly using the toilet.

Hello, People? Don't they use them in hospitals? I learned to use one while my arm was in an immobilizer. It is not so bad. I too would like to learn the principles of analysis of urine by smell.

I agree with the other answers, why are you peeing in a jug, first of all, do you drink enough water,(if you don't get enough water, your uring will be odiferous) and does it hurt when you pee?
