i always see people in here saying the bible is a book of fairy tales. how do you explain away these modern day prophetic signs as fairy tail ?
regarding the thing that must come to pass before Christ's second coming:
1.
-PROPHECY- Israel will become a country again:
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
(generation in the Greek is ghenehah which means nation or literal generation of an age)
-FULFILLMENT- Israel became a nation in 1948. After close to 2000 years of world wide dispercement Jews are still Jews. Compare that to Africans being America for only around 200 years. Its unpresidented for people to keep their national identity after 2000 years of displacement.
2.
-PROPHECY-There will be a revival of the Roman Empire
Daniel 2
-FULFILLEMENT- http://tinyurl.com/gfxbk
think it is coincidence that there is a new unification of Europe just like the bible said there will be? 1 example: the Euro

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

It's stupid to say the bible are fairytales, the bible i sa usefull historical source if you know how to leave aside the mythical details.
Abour the predictions, eveyone can adjust what is written on the bible to their convenience, I don't think that some coincidences (admit it some are forced for example gog and magog who by the way are kingdoms not kings). besides the return of the roman empire would actually mean a unification of the whole world. back then the territory conquered by the romans meant basically all the known world and more improtantly the civilized world...
But still everyone has the right to believe whatever suits them right? in the we'll see if anyone was right

Are you that desperate to be raptured?
1.After 2000 years, Christians are still Christians. Judiasm is not a nationality, it is a religion. And hey, after 200 years, Africans are still black, too. (BTW, blacks from Africa have been in North America for closer to 400 years).
2. Yes, I do think that the EU is a coincidence. Actually, it is your thematic interpretation of two unrelated events. The EU has absolutely nothing to do with the Roman Empire. The Romans didn't exactly situate themselves in equal stead with the nations it conquered, as opposed to Italy's place within the EU.
3.As for Russia and China, I don't think you could get a rubber band to stretch that far. Perhaps, just perhaps, their opposition to a punative stance for sanctions for Iran may just take their OWN self-interest into consideration, rather than any consideration for Israel, whatsoever. China gets a lot of oil from Iran (and hopes to curry favor for even more) in order to fuel its takeover of world economics. Anything that would upset that applecart would be opposed by China. Russia just wants to piss us off and make a buck selling them the equipment and fuel for their nukes. Neither of them is conspiring against Israel, they just don't give a damn.
Anything can be extrapolated from prophecies if you are willing to ignore common sense long enough to make the connections. Look at Nostradamus. Everything he said has come true, if your willing to ignore the inconveient facts and filter out whatever interferes with your presumption. You are reading Scripture through a prism.

There are no valid prophecies in the bible.
If they were prophecies, there would not be 10,000 different interpretations.
If you believe them to be prophecies, that's your choice, but very few other people (relative to the 6 billion people on earth) agree with you.
The bible is a book of mythology and fairy tales.
Additional comment:
When I was about five years old, a man named Garner Ted Armstrong had a radio program that I (my parents) regularly listened to and he made the exact same claims that the world was going to end in the next few years because it was prophesied in the bible. And he cited those very same passages (as well as others).
That was over fifty years ago.
Keep "prophesying" and I'm sure it will sort of come true someday.
In the meantime, still waiting . . .

Is Nostradamus a prophet too? Wow if you are into prophecies then you should really read his predictions, I'm sure you'll agree that his stuff is right up there with your guys. Maybe you could try and get his prophecies included with the rest. Oh yeah, I realize you guys like to keep women on the down low but have you ever heard of Sylvia Brown? Montel Williams has her on his show most Wednesdays. She is good at making predictions too. She predicted the break-up between Brad and Jennifer a good 6 months prior to the fact. She's good, real good.

I still see no facts with your writings here...Christianity is just a religion and there are many religions that believe different things and all believe they see the prophetic signs too. So how can different religions believe different prophecies and well...gee...they are all facts. Ya right. Religion is man made. You see what you want to see. There are no facts. And you will get no facts until the day you die. Only then will we truly know. And if you just go out and there is nothing...well then you won't ever know that there is nothing.
I'd like to believe it...but I simply can't believe a religion created by society. I believe in my own ways.

ok so zionism started in the early 1900s, not cause of matthew, and the jews wanted a nation and they used israel but, thats not really a prophesy coming true, they used a name that was traditional
the fairy tale thing is more like adam and eve, noahs ark, the first 10 chapters of genesis or so, the whole man in the sky throws fireballs at sodam

Scripture originated in very very superstitious times. Most was written by people who had no special connection with the figures they wrote about. The ancient writings went through many translations and a great amount is misunderstood in each of the translations.
If you start with some of the very old scratches found on stones, you can make of them anything you care to.

Out of all the hundred prophecies listed in the Bible, only four of them came out to be true? That is worst than even 50/50 odds lol. How terrible!!

First, a chunk of those are interpretation of something said, not necessarily how they were intended to be interpreted. And by sheer number of them a few will be right by the law of averages, doesn't mean anything. Nostradamus is the same way. A stopped clock is right twice a day but that doesn't make it a prediction in any way.

yea sure, the fullfilled prophecy may be the word of God in bible. Thats what we muslims believe. But only 1 unfulfilled prophecy is sufficient to disproof entire bible to be the word of God. i can give plenty.
Genesis 4:12 says God told Cain you will never be able to settle, you will be wanderer.
Genesis 4: 17 says Cain built up a city
UNFULFILLED PROPECY!!
Jeremiah 36:30 says that no one would sit on David's throne after Jehoiakim
2 Kings 24:6 After the death of Jehoiakim later on Jehoiachin sat on the throne.
UNFULFILLED PROPECY!!
Ezekiel 26 says that Nebuchadrezzar will destroy Tyrus.
We came to know that Alaxander the Great was the person who destroyed Tyrus.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
It means Jesus pbuh born to a virgin and will be called as Immanuel.
Nowhere in the bible where Jesus Pbuh called as Immanuel.
UNFULFILLED PROPECY!!

"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)."
