I have a college degree in business. I just graduated last year. Should I pray and ask what I should do?

I'm not sure what it is exactly that I wanna do.

I've been looking and applying everywhere. People want experience, but that's hard to get if no one will hire you. I'm in retail and desparately want to get out and find something more desirable.

I think its a very good question, more people should be asking it:)
First yes pray about it. Second what does the Bible say about it?
We are to work to have a means to eat. As far as the certain job, I think that you have to ask yourself what do you like, what do you love. What I am trying to say is that God's plan for you might be to help people (pick something) but you need a job right now. So what to do, we get a temporary job working towards what God has intended for us to do. Along the way we will discover more about ourselves and God's plan for us. Don't ever stop looking up.

I had the same problem when I left college. But I think its ur decision what u wanna do. It's up to u to decide. Maybe u could talk to a careers adviser. Or apply to places asking if u could work there for free as work experience. If u offer to work for free, they might take u on, and u get practical experience that might help u to get a paid job in what u want to do, plus the company might take u on them selves and start paying u.

You should get out there and see what your options are. The business degree is one of the most popular, you can certainly do something with it! Ask a career specialist, or take one of those career tests online. Think about who you are and what you like. Do you enjoy working with people, or would you rather be by yourself? These are the kinds of things that will help you figure out what you should do.

You should definitely pray and trust that God has a plan for your life. Ask Him to give you patience and trust that He will lead you to the door of opportunity that He has chosen for you to enter. God needs his people in all walks of life whether it be in ministry, or business or government or education. Read the Bible and let his Word be a lamp unto thy feet and a light for thy path. When you have decisions to make base them upon what it says in the Bible. Don't let money be the deciding factor, instead look for work that embodies the principals and precepts found in Scripture. And listen for that still small voice and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name, Amen!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Sure and just follow your heart which follows God. You'll know when the time is right for you and God. Some people know what they want to do right away in life, others take time. I still don't know what the heck I'm gonna do tomorrow, let alone the rest of my life. Just take it one day at a time, peace be with you.

The answer is within you. It's not easy to figure out what you're supposed to do in life. But I suggest you narrow it down by discovering what it is you DON'T want to do. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I assure you that is how I discovered what I wanted to do. It only took me a mid-life crisis. Be patient with yourself, the answer will come. It's not easy when all you've ever done is study to gain knowledge. Mostly-- believe in yourself.

The Christian life is easy, if you let Jesus Christ do it. Learn from Christ who is our new life (when we first accept Him) and a never ending source of life leading to eternal life.

Yes, you can pray and talk to God. He loves to give you assurance and wisdom when you need it.

Don't worry about making a mistake in life. Just concentrate letting Christ lives through you. That means, when you do make a mistake, ask forgiveness from Him and leave it behind. While you pressing forward to get whatever is pleasing to Him.

I myself stil am learning to do that; especially the art of communicating with my heavenly Father through prayer, reading His word, attending church, etc.

God bless you and congratulation on your graduation.

If you have trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross then you already hold a most high office and ministry that God has given ever true Christian. 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. You hold the office of ambassador of your heavenly home. You have the ministry of reconciliation and the Word of reconciliation and now you are equipped to reconcile a lost and dieing world to Christ. It sounds like you have the education and skills to do many jobs of this world. There will a job show up for you, just give it time.

Our culture has us asking that question in relationship to personal success, usually measured in dollars. Isn't it odd that in terms of a purposeful life, Mother Teresa was a success, and full of joy, while Howard Hughes was a miserable failure. So in asking what you are 'supposed' to do, while searching for a career, also look for opportunities to love, to touch, and encourage. Your career will take care of itself.

Why did you go and get a business degree? I'd say so that you go into a business of some sort, surely you had SOME idea of what you wanted to do.

Now go do it.
