I've heard of the Lamplighters before... not sure if they're still around though.

The OT mentions about the Nazarite's Vow [in Numbers] which, when taken does not allow to have one's hair to be cut, nor to drink any wine... until the vow is accomplished. Then they'd shave it all off upon completion.

Btw --a little trivia here-- Samson was a Nazarite too.

It is NOT Pentacostal. That's a very common misconception. Pentacostals are also not the snake charmers. It is NOT cultish. I wear makeup, cut my hair, have sex with my husband, and wear bikinis. So do the other women at the Pentacostal churches I've been to. Pentacostals are simply people who believe in the Holy Spirit. We sing better songs and cry more, that's all. :)

The people I knew growing up who didn't cut their hair claimed to be non-denominational.

Pentecostal...that religion is more like a cult. I had no choice but to be one when I was growing up. Hated it. Crazy. I think that's why I don't believe in religion anymore. That one ruined me.
