Take him to an obedience trainer before you have to take him to the vet.

This is the first time i've heard of this. If it's the door going outside he may just want to be outside. I believe you can but a plexi-glass that you can put on the door that may help. I would also work on training him not to try and get through the door. My dogs use their paws and scratch on the doors when they want to get through. Good luck.

What kind of dog is this? That either one hard head or one thin door. I think I would have the vet check to see if maybe he might be having some seeing problems!

Then if that checks out I would go to a trainer/behaviorist.

You need to get a spray bottle and when he does it spray him the water will scare him. Or you can get a trainer Collier. It is a shock that will let him know you don't want him to do that.My friend got one for her dog because she always ran out the door. Now shewon't go near the door.

are you the second person that has had this dog? sounds like it is trying to get threw a dog door.

to avoid it breaking your door you could try putting a strong plywood over the bottom of the door, you can stain it to match the rest of your place too so it doesn't look so horrible.

Staple a pillow to the part of the door the dog hits and get him a helmet.

He wants to be an outside dog, is what it seems to me. Get a "doggie-door" and see if that makes things better. I'm thinking that it probably will.

You are not letting him out enough, apparently. Is he fixed? That would do it too. If those don't work. You have a dog with some issues.

Get him a doggy door, so that when he headbutts it he ends up outside, without breaking the door.

Buy him a helmet, show him plenty of attention, and let him outside frequently.
