When I was in the 3rd grade, we had a teacher named Mrs. Miller. Mrs. Miller was a 30 something black woman in the 70s who probably had a very good idea of what was and wasn't fair.

Every time one of us kids whined.... "but Mrs. Miller..... thats not FAIR".... she would respond with.... "children..... (pause for effect)... it's an unfair world".

One of lifes great lessons... get used to it.

Fairness will never work. People are too competitive and will do anything to get to the top, no matter how UNfair..
Less violence wouldn't work either, people are too emotional.
