Against!
Additionally, a gay "couple" can have 'sex' without being married. That way, I can address each one as Mr. ......, and Mr. ....., If they are married, how do I know which one is Mr. and which one is Mrs. ?

Yes I am against it. Marriage is for man and woman. How can you be a follower of Christ and you like it when people live their lives in sin? You are not supposed to go along with what the world does. You should know what right and wrong is. Homosexuality is a sexual sin. Do I think they are any worse than adulterers, fornicators, sexual deviants, or any other sexually retarded individual? No. A sin is a sin and you should know better but then again you said that you were Catholic not a Christian. There is a difference. (Not saying that some Catholics are not true Christ followers "Christians".)

I'm against it. You are being judgmental yourself aren't you? You are judging all those who are against it as being judgemental of homosexuals and those with AIDS. Take a good look in the mirror sweetie. I do not judge homosexuals or those with aids. I am simply stating my belief based on moral grounds. God created male and female to be together. Any other type of sexual union is a disorder in God's creation. I stand up for my beliefs regardless who likes it or doesn't. I am not necessarily trying to cause problems for others but truth is truth.

Marriage is between one man and one woman.
That doesn't' mean that I discriminate against them though. They have the right to live how they want, but marriage is and always has been considered as a union of one man and one woman. For thousands of years it has been that way. To me the desensitization of this whole issue is rather scary, what's next?
It's only been in the last twenty or so years that being gay has become accepted.

I'm totally against it, marriage is a Biblical concept.
As to the legalities of being a gay couple, they want ER visitations, Social Security rights, and inheritance rights. Okay, let them come up with a legal form they can file with the state to give each other these things.
But leave marriage out of it.

I myself am against gay marriage. But I also feel that what a person does is between them and God. They will have to answer for things they do. The bible says that God created man and woman. That the man must leave his family and cleave with his wife. Not his husband. I won't discriminate gays or lesbians, like I said its their business. But if asked I would tell them that God doesn't condone it.

I'm not against any person, regardless of their lifestyles. But marriage was instituted by God, for man and woman. You should know this, as you are catholic. It is one of the holy sacraments of your church. We do not have the right to change what God instituted in marriage. I am not being judgmental against gays, because I see us all as sinners. They should be happy just living together, as marriage will not change God's plans, as he intended. This whole issue is not about marriage anyway. It is about equal rights, so where do we draw the line? We need to draw the line when it diminishes God.

I'm against it BUT I don't think our government, because of the separations of church and state(as well as a few other factors) have the right to deny them the freedom of being in a marriage-like state. That is to say, it would only be a marriage under God but since God doesn't approve of that sort of thing.... well, they could call it marriage all they wanted for the sake of simplicty but the term 'civil union' is a better description.
yeah lol

I don't want to thump anyone on the head, Just a caution. The reason the bible is clear on marriage. Its out of wisdom and not to make people feel badly.
We open that door of being liberal about the definition of marriage, it won't stop at same sex marriage. Imagine if you will, redefining marriage what ever any one person wants it to be. That will be next after same sex marriage. People living on the fringe of normal will soon be saying what normal is.

Um... AIDS should have nothing to do with love or marriage. Just because two guys love each other doesn;t mean they have AIDS... there is no reason for gay people to not be married.

I'm against it, God designed marriage between a man and woman, and says that homosexuality is a sin - but that also means people can be cleansed of it
