How do so many Christians believe in the same God, but that creation happened differently?

I believe that God made evolution. He made or intended that apes turn into people. OMG I told my youth pastor that and he flipped! He thinks I'm not saved, etc. and that I won't go to Heaven! Argh! People that don't except other's opionons really bug me.

God created the world in 6 days and took a break for a day. After putting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, there is an unmentioned time period (between chapters 1 and 2).
That's when evolution occurred.

I could definitely concieve that God created evolution. But if this is the case, is God an Ishmael (read the book, Ishmael, not about the biblical figure) like figure?

why can't they both be true God created science and science helps us see things like carbon dating and evolution . i just asked a question about Penis bones and if some animals have them and some dont and yahoo answers was amazing one answer was that man is the only primate that does not have one so what does that say i hope it helps

I believe that God created humans at the neanderthal stage and let us develop to where we are now.
I don't think we came all the way from apes or chimpanzees.
If you look at the scientific facts, people are stilll evolving - getting taller, darker, fatter - genetically with each succesive generation.

I think God created everything. Now saying this she/he could have come up with evolution. God prob'ly did the evolution thing then and laughs when we debate this issue, God's like, "Ha, I really got them with that one. Mixing it up baby!"

evolution is made up by people who do not wnat to believe that there is a God that they are gonna have to face one day, God created the heaven and earth, He is God, Jesus Christ is His son who died on the cross to save s from sin
