I start with a basic recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Then instead of adding chocolate chips, I add any leftover stuff in my pantry; things like nuts, raisins, peanut butter chips, candy bar pieces, oatmeal, pretty much anything that strikes my fancy. It is pretty easy since most people have made chocolate chip cookies at some point, but different almost every time.

This takes no baking at all, just preperation.
Peanut Butter Balls
Add 3 table spoons cocoa powdered
2 sticks melted
Mix Well
Add 1 8 ounce crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
Mix well
Add 1 box powdered sugar
Mix untill smooth. Make into small balls and rull in coconut and or chopped nuts. Chill. Makes about 50 balls.

JAM BARS
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 egg
3/4 cup jam or preserves ( i use orange marmalade)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Sift together flour and baking powder; set aside.
Cream butter, sugar and almond extract; beat in egg.
Add sifted ingredients and stir to blend.
Spread a little less than 1/2 the dough into a greased baking pan (about 11 by 7 by 2)
Mix jam with cinnamon and ground cloves and spread over dough.
Drop remaining dough in blobs over jam; spreading carefully with spatula and bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for about
20 minutes. Put on rack to cool; cut into squares

These cookies are one of my favorites. They are great for Christmas cookies but fabulous any other time.
CHOCOLATE SNOWBALL COOKIES
1 & 1/4 cups of butter
2/3 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups of flour
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of cocoa, unsweetened
2 cups of finely chopped pecans
confectioners sugar
In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add vanilla to butter mixture. In another bowl sift flour, salt and cocoa together. Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture. Blend in the pecans. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Roll cookies in confectioners sugar when cool.

Try this:
100g butter
150 - 200g sugar
150g flour
100 - 150g oats
few drops of vanilla essence
Cream the butter and sugar, add the vanilla then sieve in the flour mix then mix in the oats.
Make small balls and place a baking tray then pop in the oven (preheated) and cook in 180 degrees until golden and enjoy.

6 C. chowmein noodles
1 C. chopped cashews
1 12 oz. chocolate chips
1 6 oz. bag butterscotch chips
Measure noodles & nuts into large bowl set aside.
Melt cchips together pour over noodles mix and spoon onto
waxed paper cool.
