You can't buy things with god. I mean, you could pray and hope a plasma screen TV drops from the sky, but you have a better chance of getting the TV with money. God isn't needed, but money is needed in most countries if you want food, shelter and clothing. Money is a better provider than god.

God and money are two different things. Some people worship money as their god, which is the wrong thing too do. But think about this, God could survive without money, but money could not survive without God.

Money is a temporal tool that is useful for accomplishing God's work here on earth. It's an excellent servant but a horrible master.
God on the other hand is the eternal Father who sent his Son, Christ Jesus to free us from our sins and the penalty that we would face if He hadn't paid it for us. God is "needed" because there is no true life apart from God but merely an existence that will eventually end in eternal despair if we don't humble ourselves and seek Him through Jesus Christ.

To some, there is no difference. To others, there is a huge difference. It all depends on your stand point. If you glorify money to the point that it becomes the most important thing in your life, it becomes your "god", so to speak. People who glorify money to this extent place God in second position or lower, perhaps He does not show up on the spectrum at all. These people may think that they are respecting God as much or more so than they respect money, but the ranking of importance that they have placed on this life necessity pushes God into second position. In a sense, these people believe that there is no difference, they see both as being life necessities. However, if they keep this up, they will eventually drop God off into the ditch. This love for money will grow continually until there is no room in their lives for anything else. They become greedy and selfish, as their hunger leaves them with the desire to obtain more and more. Now, along with this, there are also those who see God as the most important aspect of their lives. They will glorify Him even when they are in a financial crisis. These people see God as the number one provider, whereas money is just a method that He uses to provide. We need God to get us through life and after, He is our director, our teacher, our provider. Money is needed in this life only, it is needed to provide for our basic needs. Whereas God's support lasts for eternity, money lasts only on a temporary basis, in this world only. God is still the number one provider, He uses money to keep us stable and supported. The funny thing is, those who glorify money and spend every minute of their lives to earn it will eventually lose it all, whereas those who trust in God to provide are richely blessed with more than enough money to provide for themselves. Hope this helps, God bless!

Not sure about the god thing, but when was the last time you went to the store and tried to pay for goods by saying, "I will pray to god for you." Rots of Ruck.

Well god is god and money is money. Thats the difference. And niether of them are necessarily needed, you don't have to buy stuff I don't guess, and no one is forcing you to believe in god so I guess that means they aren't needed. ( :
