There is no specific age for dating. I had my first date when I was 17, but he was too boring, so I dumped him soon after that. But by 20 years old I met the love of my life, ideal boy for me. So, don't rush over thinking all have dates and not you, bad partners r waste of time. Or you can start dating once you are in highschool just for your experience, to become more self confident and see how opposite sex thinks about different things, to find out guys' points of view about what life means. And never neglect your studies, thinking of boys as they never do that, they are more realistic and they can split life into professional and sentimental and never mix it.

Ask him!!! I don't think boys and girls need to be worrying about the opposite sex until later into high school. It's more important to work on your grades and friendships then dating. Where you end up in life as far as a career and financially is more important then any guy or girl will ever be.

shouldn't you ask your pops that question? he has the answer in his head, we can only guess. some gurls mature quicker than others, but any gurl that dates needs to have high self esteem. she doesn't need a guys approval, she doesn't need to feel that she must get the guy to like her. that usually leads to her doing things she shouldn't to gain approval. dads can usually sense when his daughter is "boy crazy" that's when he should lock her in her room. I think you might be a little boy crazy by the tone of your question. maybe about 26 years old for you. lol
