He/she is not dumb first of all and they need structure and training in order to listen to u! Paitence and time(it won't happen overnight) is very important and if u don't have that then don't have a dog. Just answer this one------"How do u get a child to listen?" Point made. Good Luck

You should not call it dumb for one. Second the dog isn't trying to ignore you, he just doesn't understand English and you don't understand dog. Take him to get lessons and the teacher will show you the right way to train your dog so he understands what you want and therefore listens to you. Petsmart has a good program.

Are you nice to the dog? Maybe it needs a little love. My dog is a little dumb, but she knows how to sit, lie down, speak, jump and much more! Maybe the thing you need is to give her/him rewards (treats) It worked with my dog...It just might work with you're dog. Good luck!!! Remember: give him/her patience. One day, they will do all kinds of tricks! You'll see!

Train it. You need to spend a LOT of time with your dog, training it and taking it outside often.

#1 treat it with respect.
#2 find a good training program, they might have one at your pet store, or look on-line.
#3 If that dosn't work, find someone else to train it.
